Principal’s Message

It is with great pleasure I welcome you to Sleepy Middle School, a Pre-Academy School. As the principal, it is my honor to be the instructional leader. It will be my personal goal to continue the tradition of academic excellence and school pride, as well as providing students a plethora of opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities and community service projects.

As educators, it is our responsibility to create a safe, nurturing environment where every student feels a sense of belonging and a desire to learn. Our mission is to provide a rigorous education that challenges our students to become globally literate by inspiring them to achieve their maximum potential while meeting their cognitive, personal and social needs. This environment is supported by a faculty and staff that offers the finest middle school education possible. This year will be dedicated to renewing our commitment to parents, students and the community as we continue elevating Sleepy Hill Middle to high levels of performance. We will enforce high expectations for our students and create strong and focused instructional programs that motivate the mind to explore new ideas.

We are looking forward to working together in creating a school where every student will be given the tools, confidence and skills necessary to be successful.

End of school year procedures:

Return of School Items


Dates: May 26, 27, 28

Times: 8 am to 10 am; 1 pm to 3 pm

What to return: Computers, library books, paper based work not already given to teachers

Procedures: Similar to the pickup of computers and paper-based items, return of the items will follow the same procedures.  All items will be returned in a drive – through setting with students/parents remaining in their vehicles.

Computer Return:

1. Must have computer, charger and a piece of paper or sticky note with child’s name and student id number.

2. Computer will be checked for physical and screen damage (have the computer powered on to view screen)

3. After inspection, the computer will be collected.  If everything is ready before you enter the line the process will go much faster.

*Please note that all computers will need to be fully inspected once they arrive on campus.  We will do as much of the external inspection as possible at school when the computer is dropped off.  We will follow all district guidelines and will make contact with the families if further information is needed.

Paper-based Assignments:

1. Only turn in assignments that have not already been graded by a teacher.

2. Packets must have student’s name and id number on it and then placed in appropriately marked bin.

Library books:

1. Please return all items that have been borrowed from the Sleep Hill Middle School Library

2. Place books in the appropriate bin.

8th Grade Celebration
The 8th grade students are to return their materials on May 26th from 8 – 10 am or from 1 – 3 pm. 8th grade will also be collecting their celebration signs.

Interim Reports on Parent/Student Portal

Families and students: We’re on the final stretch of the 2019-2020 school year.   Thank you for all your support and working with our children during these unprecedented times.

Parents, please have your student(s) log into their student portal account and show you their current grades.

Interim Reports would have gone out today, however there will be no paper reports generated including 9 week reports until further notice.

Synced for Students Buses

Today is the first day PCSB “Synced for Students” buses are available. Please view the link below to see locations of all buses. The WiFi access point name is PCPSBUS and the password is PCPS2020. Each bus will arrive at their first, and in some cases only location, a little before 7:00 am. The buses that will move around have the same time schedule as shown in the spreadsheet. Buses will be picked up a little after 5:00 pm each day. Each bus will have the a banner displayed on the outside for easy identification.
